It is time to rethink the whole concept of Congressional Majorities.
We need to stop thinking "Democrat v. Republican" in terms of Congressional power swings.
There is a majority of wealthy people in Congress, both houses, and they are voting for their own interests, not for The People, per se.
It is now "Rich v. Middle Class," it is no longer R v D, and we know which side owns that majority and which side is perpetually winning.
Forget the whole "D and R" facade, this is class war, not political squabbling. Congress is almost wholly on the side of the wealthy, we learn that fresh every session.
Ponder for just a moment, how many truly middle class or recently impoverished people are in Congress. Count them on your hands and toes.
Which, in many ways, constitutes taxation without representation. Why is it only wealthy people or their hired hands can run for office?
The People have no representation any more, we are simply ruled by the wealthy.
Citizens United is living proof.
